Electromagnetism is defined as the interaction between electric fields and magnetic fields on an object. Caused by the presence of electrically charged particles. Any charged particle when is stationary has an electrical field but in motion it also exhibits magnetic fields. This interaction is what causes electromagnetic forces.
The magnetic field with the flow of electrical currents run through wires because of the wrapping in the wire being a core material like iron which causes the magnetic field to be strengthened.
Electromagnets are used in various industries and every day appliances such as power generators, electrical machines, and transformers. Electromagnets can convert mechanical energy into electrical and vice versa.
The discovery of these two forces combined had an revolutionary impact on technology and day to day life. Leading to the creation of electric devices such as motors, generators, sensors, radio, television, and computers.
